Longjing
Lóng Jǐng Sì-Shí-Sān · 龙井43 (龍井43)
Longjing #43 is a clonal cultivar developed by the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in the 1970s. It buds earlier than the older Qun Ti varietal, giving it commercial advantages for early-spring Longjing production though many connoisseurs still prefer the slower-budding traditional bushes.
Origin region: Hangzhou
