Guzhang
Gǔ Zhàng · 古丈
Hunan · China
Guzhang County sits in the Wuling Mountains of northwestern Hunan and is the source of Guzhang Maojian — a 2,000+ year tea-growing tradition (the area was already supplying tribute tea to the imperial court in antiquity). The county's dense old-growth forests, abundant rainfall, mild climate, and phosphorus- and selenium-rich organic soils give the tea its delicate floral aroma and sweet finish.
