She County in southern Anhui (Huangshan Prefecture) sits below Laozhuling and Fuguanshan mountains and is the historical home of Da Fang green tea — the documented ancestor of all Chinese flat-style green teas including Longjing. Da Fang is mentioned in the Jiu Wu Dai Shi (Old History of the Five Dynasties), placing its history at over 1,000 years; during the Five Dynasties it was a tribute tea favoured by the imperial family.
