Xigui

Xī Guī · 昔归 (昔歸)

Yunnan · China

Xigui is a small village in Bangdong Township in eastern Lincang, north of the Mengku area. It is one of the "Four Little Dragons of Lincang" alongside Bingdao, Mangfei, and Daxueshan, and one of the most-hyped and expensive areas for new-school pu-erh. The cup profile is characteristic: a clean bitterness that flips almost instantly into a deep cooling sweetness, with a potent energising cha qi that has made it a connoisseur favourite. Authentic gushu Xigui sells in the thousands of dollars per kilogram.
