Fuding Da Bai Hao

Fuding Da Bai Hao ("Big White Down") is the Camellia sinensis var. sinensis cultivar of Fuding County in northern Fujian. Its dense silver pekoe (white down) on the buds makes it the standard cultivar for Bai Hao Yin Zhen "Silver Needle" white tea, but the same plant is also processed into Bai Lin Gong Fu — a Min Hong red tea that is, in effect, the black-tea version of the same leaf material.
