Henan is a north-central Chinese province whose southern reaches — around Xinyang City, in the Dabie Mountains that divide Henan from Hubei — produce Xinyang Maojian, one of China's "Top Ten Famous Teas" since the 1959 national list. Tea is grown here at 500–800 m on Mt. Cheyun, Mt. Jiyun, and Mt. Tianyun.
