Mt. Mengding (Meng Shan) sits in Ya'an, Sichuan, and is the tea region referenced in the Chinese saying "Yangzi water, Mengding tea". From the Tang dynasty through the Qing, 360 spring tea leaves were prepared each year by Buddhist monks here as tribute to the emperor. The mountain is also the source of Mengding Ganlu (green) and Mengding Huangya (yellow).
