Mengding Ganlu (literally "Sweet Dew of Meng Peak") is a green tea from Mt. Mengding (Meng Shan) in Ya'an, Sichuan — by Chinese tradition the place where tea cultivation began, with seven bushes planted by Taoist Master Wu Lizhen around 53–50 BCE. From the Tang through Qing dynasties, 360 spring leaves were prepared each year here as tribute to the emperor. The name "Ganlu" — "Sweet Dew" — derives from the honorific title bestowed on Wu Lizhen by Emperor Xiaozong of the Song dynasty.
