Yibang Mountain is one of the Six Famous Ancient Tea Mountains (古六大茶山) of Mengla County, Xishuangbanna. It sits on the eastern bank of the Lancang River with elevations ranging from 565 m to 1,950 m — the highest of the six. From around the 1750s to the 1900s Yibang Old Town was the distribution centre for the six mountains, and Mansong-village tea grown here was a Qing- dynasty tribute. Yibang's leaf is characterised by smaller leaves (it is one of the few "small-leaf" ancient gardens in Yunnan) and a soft, fragrant, sweet cup.
