Manzhuan Mountain is one of the Six Famous Ancient Tea Mountains of Mengla County, sitting between Yibang, Gedeng, Mansa, and Yiwu. The Qing-dynasty saying "Yibang and Manzhuan have better taste" attests to its historical reputation. Today's production is small compared to neighbouring Yiwu and Yibang, but the leaf keeps the soft, aromatic, sweet profile that defines east-of- river ancient gardens — the classic foil to Bulang's bolder bitterness.
