Da Hong Pao
Dà Hóng Páo · 大红袍 (大紅袍)
Da Hong Pao ("Big Red Robe") is the most famous of the Wuyi yancha — rock teas grown on the cliffs of the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian. Heavy charcoal roasting gives it cocoa, mineral, and stone-fruit notes layered over the signature yan yun (rock rhyme) mouthfeel.
