Daxueshan ("Big Snow Mountain") is the Yongde County nature preserve in Lincang at 1,900–2,600 m elevation. The 17,541-hectare protected area contains roughly 450,000 primeval tea trees — one of the largest concentrations of wild Camellia in Yunnan. As one of the "Four Little Dragons of Lincang" (alongside Bingdao, Xigui, and Mangfei), Daxueshan gushu commands premium prices. The high elevation and cold microclimate produce a leaf with the characteristic Lincang cooling sweetness and pronounced cha qi. Note: there is also a Daxueshan in Mengku, Lincang — the Yongde one is the more famous of the two for ancient-tree pu-erh.
