Mangfei (in Mengban Township, Yongde County, Lincang) is one of the "Four Little Dragons of Lincang" alongside Bingdao, Xigui, and Daxueshan. "Mangfei" is a Dai term meaning "mountain ridge between valleys"; the village faces east with ample sunshine, backed by high mountains. Mangfei has no truly ancient (gushu) trees — the oldest are around 90–110 years — but Mangfei Village contains 4,950 mu of tea gardens, with 2,850 mu of large-tree plantations and 1,980 mu of concentrated old-tree areas. The style is warmer and more accessible than the iconic Bingdao / Xigui profile.
