Duyun Maojian
Dū Yún Máo Jiān · 都匀毛尖 (都勻毛尖)
Duyun Maojian is the signature green tea of Guizhou Province, grown around the prefecture-level city of Duyun in the south of the province. It is consistently listed among China's Top Ten Famous Teas; the modern fame is sometimes traced to a story that Mao Zedong named the tea after receiving a gift of Guizhou leaf, though it has a documented tribute-tea record dating to earlier dynasties. Identifiable by the yellow-tinged green colour that persists in both dry leaf and brewed liquor.
