Qingxin (Qing Xin Wulong)
Qīng Xīn · 青心乌龙 (青心烏龍)
Qingxin (full name Qing Xin Wulong, "green-hearted oolong") is the cultivar that defines most premium Taiwanese oolongs — Dong Ding, Alishan high-mountain, and Lishan. It was brought from the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian to Taiwan roughly 150 years ago. Buds are relatively slender; the cultivar is sensitive to climate and rewards cool, foggy mountain conditions with milky-creamy mouthfeel and floral high notes — the signature high-mountain (gaoshan) profile.
Origin region: Nantou
