Alishan High Mountain Oolong
Ā Lǐ Shān Gāo Shān Wū Lóng · 阿里山高山乌龙 (阿里山高山烏龍)
Alishan high-mountain (gaoshan) oolong is grown in Chiayi County's Alishan range at roughly 1,000–1,600 m, typically from the Qingxin cultivar. Cool nights, frequent cloud cover, and mineral-rich mountain soil slow leaf maturation and concentrate flavour, giving the tea its hallmark soft creamy mouthfeel and floral high notes. Lightly oxidised (~15–25%) and lightly or unroasted to keep that mountain freshness intact.
