taiwan

Dong Ding (literally "Frozen Summit") is one of Taiwan's most historically important oolongs, produced from the Qingxin (Qing Xin Wulong) cultivar in Lugu Township of Nantou County. Per Wikipedia the cultivar was brought from the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian to Mount Dong Ding roughly 150 years ago. The mountain's microclimate of sunny mornings and foggy afternoons is credited with its characteristic creamy, lightly-roasted character. As the name has become broadly used, the label is the only assurance that the leaf actually came from Lugu.
