Menghai 7542 is the most famous sheng pu-erh recipe — devised in 1975 (the first two digits) using a 4-grade leaf mix (third digit) at the Menghai Tea Factory (digit 2). Used as a reference cake for tracking sheng aging behaviour across vintages.
